Help for Adenium obesum

Beaumont, TX(Zone 9a)

My desert rose is growing taller and taller; trying to leaf at the very tip. It's been sitting on east side windowsill. What can be done for it? I've had it since Oct. and don't know how to care for it. Please help.

I know nothing about them, but maybe this link will help;

I have 6 and have had them for years. I bring them inside in the fall. They loose their leaves and go dormant or nearly so. Your plant is just resting. In late spring when temps are constantly above 60 degrees I put them out and eventually move them to sunnier and sunnier positions. By summer they are in nearly full sun and I water them every few days. You should not water in the winter! I might give them a tiny drink once or twice during the entire time they are in the house. When actively growing in the full sun they like water. They are really not completely house plants and like heat and sun during their active season. Hope that helps.
BTW they need excellent draining soil and you can cut off the tips if they get too lanky.

Cheryl, thanks so much for the link. How are yours doing?

I thought well but then that same plant has more rot on it. I need to pull it up and do some surgery again this spring. Hopefully I caught it in time.
