I know lately I've been asking for things not related to gardening
But I can say my hollyhocks are coming up full force not blooming yet
my daffodils are blooming, poppies are coming up
lost my tulip tree
lost about 4 rose bushes, some azaleas
have onions coming up that I thought were gone from the drought , dh planted radishes and I out int he lettuce and am planning on getting the peas in next
anyway Here is my reason for popping in right now.
I have a friend from high school and he has been told now he might have 2 yrs left but closer to one ...he has cancer.
He is working on his "Bucket List" and one of the items is bull riding.
He has already called and made his reservation for the class and it is going to be at Weisner Arena in Lufkin
So what I am looking for is someone in the area that can head me in the right direction as to a nice clean hotel as I do not know lufkin
I had thought about camping in a trailer but I don't know of any place that rents them and would be able to take them to the campground as I do not have a hitch on my suv.
I am taking off work to take him there and video tape things.
anyone suggestions, ideas?

I go to lufkin quite bait but am not familiar with the the hotels. Go to a sight like price line..put in lufkin for your destination and it will pull up the hotels and reviews.

Yes. I would say that would be the best place. I know it will be bittersweet watching your friend do his bucket list
yeah it already is we've been talking and catchin up since we reconnected on facebook and I am not thrilled at this choice of his but I can't complain nor stop him when the doctors have told him maybe 2 yrs but closer to 1
I admire him. He is planning on going out with his boots on. Live until you die.
Im in Wells about 20 mins north of Lufkin if you and your friend need a place to stay you can stay here not a problem.. I have a guest room with a queen bed along with a couch or air bed for one Just let me know when and you are more than welcome to stay here. its not fancy but beats a motel..lol.

I will holler at him and see what he thinks plus I need to check he mentioned something about another class mate possible coming up Saturday to join us and stay the night she is in Pharr and has been battling cancer too but is not riding a bull LOL...maybe we could do that night in a motel and the others with you will let ya know
