i don't know why i'm on such a ham kick lately...except that it just tastes so darn good. this is my mom's recipe and that's what she called it.
smoked pork shoulder/butt with fresh green beans, yukon golds (mom used tiny new potatoes), celery, onion and matchstick carrots. i use Kitchen Basics vegetable and chicken stocks in place of water and for seasoning i use a small amount of Old Bay Lemon, not regular OB. corn muffins on the side.
when i'd come home from school on a cold afternoon and she'd have this simmering on the stove, all was right with the world.
