Basket weaving plants for Tucson Az

Does anyone know of plants...grasses, vines or shrubs....that I might grow for basket weaving. Any experience growing, harvesting or storing them?

Hi, you may want to post this question on the SW forum. I don't know of any myself as I'm not into basket weaving I do know that the Indians around here use beargrass for weaving baskets. Beargrass grows all over the place here in the Oracle area. I have a friend here that teaches beargrass weaving. I can contact her if you want. D-mail me if you are interested.
