Seen in January in the Guadalhorce area of Spain by one of the lakes. There was at least one "escapee" (a Swan Goose) and several other types of waterfowl.
CLOSED: Duck, goose, hybrid ?
the one with black and white I believe is a Ancona or partially. They are a rare endangered breed
Were you just wanting the Ancona ID?
That was the one I was most interested in but please ID the white ones too.
I've googled Ancona and it does look similar. I realise the photo isn't that clear. There was a whole beach full of ducks and, apart from the Swan Goose, I didn't take any other close-ups.
White are pekins. The two black ones may be blue swedish sometimes just called swedish. The other one that is close to the water, looks like he has light colored sides, so may be a mallard male
Thankyou very much.
