I's like to get the species on this duck that was photographed in Victoria, British Columbia.
CLOSED: I.D. Please
I believe it is what some call a Mallard mutt. It has the curled tail of a male Mallard, and other field markings, but what it is mixed with I cannot tell. Maybe someone else could give you a more complete answer.
A breed of domesticated duck, derived (as Chillybean says) from Mallard. No other species involved, though.
Resin
Thanks Chilly and Resin.
could be Black East Indies domestic duck
