I have 4 so far and 2 more that are working their way out. So all my eggs are 'full term' so to say. I have one that has had a pip most of the day and is still not very far along. Just worried it might dry out and not make it. It is still peeping so I will hold out hope that it is being a slow poke. Fingers crossed that they make it the rest of the way. If they do I'll have a 100% hatch!
5 eggs are EE mix and one is a Faverolle mix.
Chickies hatched today!
Such excitement! A 100% hatch would be exceptional indeed!
Congrats TitRx Spring is in the air. I have some due this weekend and the following next couple of weeks hopefully. I am hatching out eggs from Patches my beautiful Araucana under broodies
I love faverolles they are so cute with those beards. You said it was a mix what is it mixed with?Just love chick pics
I have a male Faverolle and a silver-laced Wyadotte in with the girls. So it is possible that it could be a full Faverolle, but I won't know for sure 'til later on when it gets its adult plumage. It finally popped out (with a little help from me) and it has the extra toe so it will probably look really close to one.

YaaaaaY!! So cute , like little Chipmunks!!!
Everybody is out of the incu.
Faverolle is the one that is yellow with a black stripe down its back.
Whoo Hoo can't believe I had 100% hatch.
I have a Brinsea mini eco if everyone wants to know which incu. I used. I was worried about the humidity at the end so I put in a Mr Clean Magic eraser as my sponge because that is all I had. So maybe that has a lot more 'magic' in it than what I thought. I am very surprised I had such a good hatch rate considering this is my first time. I just hope the next time I don't have a terrible outcome.

How old are yours Green? They already have a little black on the wing. Mine is just yellow with the back stripe on the back.
Are they female or straight run?
When I got them last spring they were already 5 weeks old so I can't go by my experience to figure out male from female early.
I am so happpppy for you T-rx , 100% hatch thats just unbelievable!!!! Great job!
Green Your little guys are just adorable!! Just look at those tee tiny little tail feathers. You know I believe that Buff orpington Chicks are the model for everyones idea of what a little chick should look like! Cant you remember coloring all chickies yellow!!! Soo Cute!
Green - Your girls are much darker than my lone girl. My female is about the same color all over as the bottom half of yours. Her name is Mama (at least now her name fits her). I'm not very creative with names. She is really bad about laying her egg right where she is standing. I've almost stepped on her eggs so many times.
I have been watching chicken TV off and on today and those buggers are already trying to steal food from one another. Goof balls ... I have scattered feed on the bottom of the brooder/rubbermaid box so there is no reason for them to do that. I guess that it is an instinct...will be fun watching them and their antics over the next few weeks.
They are the salmon color but I do agree they are very dark, but I guess when you buy form hatcheries you don`t get the color you expect,to me they look more like the mahogany color
I just love this time of year when you all post baby pictures. Very cute!
I finally got a few new pics of of the babies. They will be 2 weeks tomorrow. I am pretty sure their daddy is the Wyandotte...even my lone Faverolle baby. Darn, I was hoping that I would maybe get a pure one since I got my Faverolle male in there with the girls too. The yellow one on the right is the Faverolle. The rest are my EE babies. I may be surprised later though...sometimes when they get their adult feathers coloring changes.
What does everyone think?
oh one more so you can see more of the wing feathers.
The little faverolle looks like mine did at that age.
Ohhhh! So cute! I do miss having chicks around. Maybe in a couple of years I will expand the flock.....
I like the one in the middle of the last photo. That one has very nice eyes!
