I got to photograph my Tiger Barb Fish

This has eluded me for a long time. Yesterday I finally managed to capture them on camera. I had cleaned [siphoned] the bottom debris on the liner so that I can view a clear background. There was some sunlight also in the morning to that corner of my small pond. I had put in some fish food. So they all came - there are about 9 in number. They are quick. They catch food and disappear beneath the lily leaves. I also found this link and got some information. You did wonderful to get such good pics cause those little critters scoot around so fast. They look large for tiger barbs.
About how long are they.

Thanks Bonnie. They are about 3 inches long. It's a good sight to watch when they are 'attacking' the food.

Never read a blog before but I read yours.
All I can say is you did an amazing job on both house and gardens and pond. What you had to go through to get it I'm sure wasn't easy but also sure you are happy to own it now and your ancestors would be very proud of you.

Hi Dinu-it's been a long time. Nice Tiger Barbs. I had those as a kid. Yours are three inches long???? Wow, I guess it's true what they say about the fish home. Mine were about 3/4 of an inch full grown in a 20 gallon tank . . .

That was some feat, Dinu. As soon as I get the camera, my fish bolt. If I really want to get a good picture, I wait a few days between feedings.

Get a snorkle, underwater camera, weights. Then sit on the bottom and wait. ROTFL.....only way it would work with my fish. Oh, and a pina colada toside with ---- oh that wouldn't work with the snorkle. ah well.

My fish were like that the first year or so but then I adopted a "pig" with fins who ate no matter what or who was around and the rest just follow. They come right up to me now.
