I had one of these plants but it died last year while I was on vacation. A misunderstanding on watering. It didn't get any for more than a week :( It was my favorite plant. I bought it at Wal-mart and saw them many times... until I needed a replacement. But I can't remember the name and the tag (which I always keep) is missing. I saw this it a picture in the Lowe's Creative Ideas. They only mention they like coleus for mini-gardens, but no specifics. I started searching the coleus in the plantfiles and realized I could spend hours going through them. Anyone know what it is? Sorry for the quality, phone shot of a magazine photo.
Plant ID - Coleus?
It's a Pilea not a coleus.
Amfm - try Pilea involucrata.
Al
Thanks. That does sound familiar. Now to go on a hunt for another.
Commonly called "Moon vValey Pilea"
