I am hoping this is a Clay-colored Sparrow which would be a new bird for me.

2nd shot...these two are the best that I got of this bird. But I do have 2 more though the bird is partially blocked in them.

'Fraid not; it's a first-winter White-crowned Sparrow. Clay-colored has a stronger face pattern, and is a smaller, daintier bird (this one looks quite big and chunky)
