Any one recognize this Orchid ?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

I'm sure I have shown this Picture on DG before.
But I think it was many many years ago.
And I have now forgotten what it is.
Any Ideas ?

Ginger, you would probably get a better response if you post this on the Orchids forum. If you aren't a subscriber, let us know and we'll try to do it for you.

Thanks Carol.

I got confused by the name of this Forum.
"• The Orchid Cactus forum" ?

Not to worry! You're in good company. When you try to look up orchids in the data base, half of them are "orchid cactus". I'm not an expert on either, but grow both, and there is at least one person on the orchid forum that is into the minis, so hopefully, you will get an answer. That's a cutie, whatever the name.

OK then Carol,
I will redeem myself.

I found some Pictures that will probably fit right in here.
I have no idea what it is really.
It has been growing feral here for several years.
I don't even know who gave it to me.
Probably someone who does not like me. ^_^.

With the small, yellow-ish flowers and leaf structure, this might be Lepismium houlletianum. Once considered a Rhipsalis. You can find a description and a couple of pics here. Leaf structure will vary a bit. Next time it blooms, self-fertilize the flowers with a finger tip or q-tip and see if you reddish to dark red berries.

Thanks Krowten,

It looks like you forgot to post a link to some pictures ?

Ginger, You are correct. Here's a link: http://rhipsalis.com/species/houllet.htm

Also, a form of L. houlletianum showing a closeup of flowers is here: http://rhipsalis.com/species/houllet%20regnellii.htm

Flowers look to be a good match.

Thanks Krowten,

First link is good.
Second link won't open for me ?

Probably your browser is not handling the space properly when it tries the link. Two options: First - the second link is also at the bottom of the first page reference above, so go to the first link then go to bottom of web page and click on the regnellii link. 2nd option is to copy and past the second link into your browser address window and replace the space in the address with a %20 which should get translated as a space. http://rhipsalis.com/species/houllet%20regnellii.htm If that %20 is already in the link, then you will have to use the first option.

Neither method works.

Can you cut and paste the URL address of the picture and post it up here ?
Like this: http://images.davesgarden.com/images/header/winter.jpg

Thanks

That is what I did. If you follow the first method suggested in my previous post, you are working from links on the rhipsalis.com web page. These work and are not coming from any dg entries.

If that is what you did, Where is the Picture then ?
The URL I put up of DG picture shows up fine for me ?

Probably more stuff-ups by DG.
Some things don't change around here.
Poor pepper23 is still waiting for her 'Blue Ribbon' she won in a photo competition 3 MONTHS ago. o(

All I can say is the link on the post above does work for me. What browser are you using? I use Firefox.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

I use Explorer 10.

I will try it on my DD Puter over the week-end.

How about you capture a screen caption and post it up here today.
