'Orange Flame' Oregon Grape Holly

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

All,
My property is full of big trees so most all of my gardening is shady and I've had great luck with mahonias. Recently I came across a nursery that has Oregon Grape Hollies with the specific varietal name 'Orange Flame'. I am wondering if any of y'all have knows anything about this variety and how well they do in texas. I have many Oregon grape hollies but none of this variety. I would just buy them and try it but these are $50.00 each, which is many times more than I've spent on mahonias before.
Thanks

I don't know about it but was wondering if you have heard about Mahonia Soft Caress? It was recommended by J Turner in Dallas Trial Gardens. Would this nursery give you a guarantee?

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a couple of the orange flames. And they do have a warranty. As it happens while I was there they had soft caress on sale and I bought some. The nurseryman seemed to be a big fan. He said they do great here. Now they have an entirely different look than other mahonias.

What nursery did you buy from and how much were the soft caress? They look really nice.

Covington's. They were 14.00 for five gallon pots.
