Maybe as the new members are signing up and joining it needs to say something right away like, go to the 'Welcome Mat forum' and introduce yourself. The new members probably haven't even noticed the 'Welcome Mat forum' yet.

Is quite right , I didn't know this thread existed. This is the first time I'm here and I have been at DG since August. I feel it is a good idea to introduce oneself when one join in !

Hey ruby42...thanks for the nudge to get on the welcome mat...I'm fairly new to DG, live in Raleigh, NC, zone 7b. Love gardening, and have lots to learn. Just happened onto this site while browsing and WHAT A FIND! I've already learned lots...just not enough time.
Love to find different, out of the norm plants to grow for this zone. Have a very small yard that's tucked full of plants back and front. No grass...still just not enough room. Visited Plant Delights Nursery for the first time in September and now I'm really enthused about growing, seed collecting and propagating. I'm a grandmother of two and have a black Pomeranian that loves to be outside watching me mess around in the yard. I grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota.
