I just LOVE blue foliage. I am convinced, your garden is a cornucopia of color!

So you have great hostas too!

Thank you, Kell. Quite a few hosta here and the deer know it.

A cornucopia of color would include my black plastic as "art expression", right? I bet you're jealous of this view!

Is that your plant hospital? Mine is more a death row? I think every serious gardener has one.

Oh no, I have several spots that could be death rows! It's simply solarizing the soil (we hope) to prevent any Houttuynia pieces from emerging.

It is always so sad to move a plant to death row knowing it is on its way out but just not having the heart to off it just then.

I planted Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon' once, years ago! I still pull it up all summer long. And worse, lots of it has reverted to the all green form. So I am not even entertained as I pull it up by its great PINK colors.

I even have one here in this guest room, another Mandevilla. The "healthy" one now has mealybug. I've trimmed it but I think we know the end of that story.

That color change occasionally happened here but by spring it was back in full color again. It really is so gorgeous but way too invasive for us.
