I saw this in Houston on Wednesday, Dec 21 in the evening.
I'm fairly sure it is a Hermit Thrush, but would appreciate confirmation.

CLOSED: Hermit Thrush?
Yep, Hermit.
If nothing else, the other Catharus thrushes are all in South America by mid December

LOL. I think one of the birders at the Nature Sanctuary where I was shooting must be a newbie. They had both Hermit and Swainson's Thrush on the white board as being seen on Monday and on the Wednesday that I was there.
But it does look like a Hermit to me.
Thanks so much Resin!
Never trust sightings boards to which the public can add their own reports! I've seen Dodos, Emus, Ostriches, Penguins, etc., all mentioned on such boards here . . . kids having their bit of fun ;-)
