My Mandrin Wind has been in the same pot for a year, since I bought it at a local nursery, it sets in a south window and is blooming now. Temps here are below freezing outside. The plant is doing great, not loosing any leaves, and still blooming since I brought it in in October. the question is when do I repot it? It is in a 6-inch pot and very healthy.
When to repot???
Since it's in a location where it will continue to actively grow, you can repot it now. Just be sure the pot you put it ion isn't too big. I'd go for a pot no bigger than a 10".
Normally, it is recommended to repot hibiscus in the Spring, but this is when they are kept in a semi or fully dormant condition over the Winter. Potting up a plant in that condition will have it sitting in a pot with extra soil over the winter and increasing the chances or root rot.

Well my Mandarin in in it's new pot, after six days the leaves perked up and it is sending out a new bud, I must have done something right. Sure is nice to see flowers when we are having snow outside.
Yeah!
It's finally going to get cold here. Temps are supposed to get down into the 20's on Tuesday night.

We are getting our first "Lake Effect" snow,(Cold air picks up moisture from Lake Michigan and turns it into snow_) here in southwestern Michigan we really get dumped on, the weather servie is calling for at least 14-16 inches by tuesday am. I guess we had better fire up the snowblower. lol At least I will have a pretty flower...........
Plant is really happy and putting out more blooms, 9 at last count, hurray
