Cakes That Will Freeze Well

I had an accident on Sept 29th that has resulted in a broken arm, I have since been in 2 different casts and now a brace. It is looking like I might have to have surgery on it---having said all that, it is my left and I am left handed, everything I do takes so much longer not being able to use it at all. I want to make a few cakes for Christmas that I can make ahead of time and keep in the freezer until needed. I would really like your input on what freezes well. I would hate to make them expecting to serve a great dessert and it not be good.
