Pet lop eared bunny has a bunch of sores on hind end

While petting my grand daugthers bunny tonight I noticed she has a bunch and I mean a bunch of bumpy sores on the back end of her body. She's skittish so I couldn't work apart the fur to see exactly what it looked like but my daughter said that the bunny has been biting/licking herself a lot back there.

Any idea what it could be?

The bunny is an indoor bunny about 4 yrs old, non spayed and has its own living space ( a spare bedroom) so it's not exposed to elements/outdoors or other animals.
