I have searched for, and tried many recipes for just the right Hot Dog Chili. I want one that is thin, lots of meat, spicey, not hot. I don't care for the ones that are thick with tomato paste.
I really want the one they serve at the Nu-Way Hot dogs in Macon, GA!, or the Hot Dog place in Market Square, Roanoke, Va, or a little hot-dogs only place in Norfolk, Va.(None of which will share their recipe with me!)
I've tried the ones that call for vinegar (pretty good!), ones that say boil the meat in water instead of browing (I like this too...removes the fat), ones calling for brown sugar (no!).....so, help me out here!
It seems to me that most of these really good chili's are of Greek origin......or Hungarian. Thanks for your help. I like to make up a batch and freeze it in ice cube trays...that way I'm ready for one, two, or a crowd! Jo
