I'd like advice on how to freeze sweet potatoes. I assume you cook them first? Then let them cool and then freeze them? Do they get mushy? My walmart has them on sale 3 lbs for $1, so I thought I'd freeze some. Can I freeze apples too?

I made some sweet potato fries and they were delicious!
