bird on tv

Hi
Did anyone watch the Big Bang Theory on TV thursday nite?
The bird they said was a blue jay did not look like the
blue jays in my yard. For one thing it had a real long tail and
was more streamlined than mine. Could someone tell what it was?

I saw it too and thought it was closer to a Stellers Jay.

This is the Jay type bird shown on the TV series Big Bang Theory. Does anyone know exactly what type it is?

Thank you, Resin. I looked it up and you are right on the
money. Do you know if they are kept as pets? The show is filmed in
southern California. It is beautiful. I like all birds but I have
to say our backyard blue jays are not my favorite but they
colorfull.

That one is certainly being kept as a pet! How widespread they are in captivity, I don't know.
