Due to the cold snap in south MS I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my hips and back. Uable to do usual daily activities I decidid to plant an indoor mini garden to have something to do. Using an old roasting pan with drainage holes drilled in the bottom I began searching through my plants. After finding a small miniature jade to use as the tree, I needed a couple of smaller "bedding" plants. I chose a dwarf mondo grass and a wonderful ground cover called "baby tears." I still need to get some concrete to anchor the patio in place but along with a few accessories this is what I came up with.
Mini Gardens brighten up a boring day.
How did I miss this one? Really cute!!!
lol flowAjen, this one is still doing great, tho I haven't done the concrete patio yet. The roaster reminds me of my late grandmother. She was always cooking in them.
Good memorial garden then...maybe you should design one to look like her yard?
I inherited my love of plants from her. When I was little we would go visit Grandma and Grandpa for two weeks every summer. It was my "job" to water her more than 300 African Violets and keep fresh flowers from her yard in all the vases. Grandpa made a huge wonderland of perenals and trees on the acre yard by their house. There were paths twisting and turning all through it. I have wonderful childhood memories of spending time there with them. A memorial garden is a wonderful idea. Thank you flowAjen.
Nice! my grandparents had a farm but I was too little to remember it, the memories I have of them are when they retired and lived in FL, my father was a gardener, mostly veggies
