We've had a series of earthquakes in central Oklahoma over the past few days. Ran across an article and radar image that shows birds and bugs took flight when the earthquake occurred. I found it particularly interesting because our cockatiel peaches escaped her cage when she should have been sleeping when the two bigger tremors happened. Earthquakes cause birds to fly from roosts
Stands to reason - if a roosting bird feels a sudden jolt on its perch, it'll assume it is a predator, and fly off.
