These were all shot at that Nature Center just north of Tulsa OK airport. Sorry for the poor quality. I had to crop severely. They were too far away for my lens.
I think I got the Grebe - don't know which grebe, but, it has to be a grebe.
Ducks, Ducks and More Ducks
pic 1
1 American Wigeon I think
2 Green-wing Teal I think
3 Eared grebe I think but looking at it again trying to judge the bill size maybe a Pied-billed??
4 Gadwall possibly
pic 2
possible Blue-wing or Cinnamon Teal
or Northern Pintail hen I can't judge their size.
Resin will let you know for sure

Wow! I don't know how you got all that from the lousy photo, but I looked them up and they do look good. On the second pic, I'm not sure of the size. Hard to estimate that far away.
Thanks Donna!
think it is a Red-necked that hasn't fully gotten it plumage back. Looks to reddish brown for a Pied-billed to me. I love water birds and raise Exotic Ducks. I spent many years watching and photographing them until I had back surgery. I sure miss being able to go.
http://pets.webshots.com/album/562207564unUUlW for pictures of what I have raised and look down my list I have 9 albums of shore birds/water birds
Oh it would help a lot if you could get a shot of the grebes bill sideways instead of straight on
Have anymore pics??

Donna,
I wish I had a side shot, but the ones I posted are all I got. The grebes kept diving and I just got a couple shots.
You raise exotic ducks!? Wow. That is so cool. My nephew got some ducks (exotic? I don't know.) for a school project that he couldn't keep (deed restrictions) after the project was over, so he put them in my pond on a 30 acre tract. They were quite happy in the pond for several months. I fell in love with them and went out each weekend to visit and supplement their feed and put out fresh hay for their "nest". But, then they started disappearing one at a time. So sad. I think it was either hawks or a coyote that got them. I've always wanted to get more, but I don't know how to protect them.
There was one Pekin, a couple of tufted ducks and a Khaki Campbell.
I will go check out the link to your photos...can't wait!
Thanks much for all of your help in IDing my birds. One of these days I hope to get better at it. I know a lot more now than I did a few years ago, but I have a long, long way to go.
Patti
