I need either photos that look like vintage seed packets, or simply vintage-looking photos of vintage plants that I can put on a virtual seed packet.
Anyone have any ideas?
thanks!

>An info box will open on the right
>Search for : Vegetable or something similar
> Select : All Collections
>Results should be : put a check mark where you want to
> Click : Go
If you need more help, let me know.
i'll try that out later, thanks honeybee!
much appreciated!
Inside MS Word, if the Clip Art Icon isn't visible:
Insert
Picture
Clip Art
(search)
(wait)
yep, did that.
didn't like what I found. I'll figure something out.
thanks, though - I had completely forgot that I posted this query till i logged in and it came up on my screen. :)
There are some seed catalogs that have vintage-like sketches and graphics, but I guess that would be violating copyrights to use them?
yes, i would be violating copyright laws which is why I wanted to create my own. that's okay - i'll figure it out. :)
thanks to everything who commented. greatly appreciated.
The software that came with my digital camera allows me to adjust the pictures into various other formats. You can get a retro look with the sepia setting, change to black and white. There's also ones called Coloring Book, Cartoon and fish-eye. Maybe you can play around with some of these using your own pics. Just an idea, fwiw.
Here's a recent tomato plant picture in its natural state.
SFC - you could also Google "Free Clip Art" there is plenty out there, although you do have to be careful they don't contain viruses.
Maybe the USDA?

PS Maybe the Smithsonian?
http://collections.si.edu/search/
"Search over 7.4 million records with 568,100 images, video and sound files, electronic journals and other resources from the Smithsonian's museums, archives & libraries"
wow! thanks, kmom!
It sounds like the USDA collection is physcial photos on paper, not e-images?
I got some electronic images from the USDA when I wrote a paper for school last year. I emailed the "for more info" person on whatever USDA site I was on while doing research and they sent me some .jpg's. Also, they said I could use any of the photos that I found on their site (with proper citation). So while it looks like there is not comprehensive database, it might still be a viable place to find photos.
