Forgive me if this sounds like a silly question, but I'm still new to gardening! How often should I be watering the bulbs once I plant them? I ask because I've killed more things by OVER watering than anything else. And I'd really like to have a successful Spring! This year, I'm planting daffodils and crocus in a raised garden bed and a ton of tulips in containers which I plan on keeping in an uninsulated wooden shed during the winter. Any advice?
Once Planted, How Often Do You Water?
Too much watering will rot bulbs, altho a raised bed might be drier so keep soil moist but not wet and if they get too dry it wont be a big deal.
I would err on the dry side duering winter. I had potted bulbs in the garage in Zone 6a and never watered them intil I planted them in pots in April here .They had already started to sprout.
