Brugs in cool weather

Guyton, GA(Zone 8b)

I have a potted brug that has 4 blooms beginning to open on it. It is supposed to get into mid 40s here tonight. I moved it into the green house. Is there any chance it will go ahead and finish opening up? I am going to be so sad if not. This is my first brug with blooms.

It should finish blooming just fine,I brought mine in two days ago and they are doing fine, they have several buds.

When I lived in Missouri (zone 5b), I'd drag all my Brugs into the garage and basement - they didn't miss a beat - the garage wasn't even heated and they bloomed, off and on, all winter!

Your Brug would have been fine outside in temperatures around the mid-40s. In temperatures lower than that their growth slows down and then they go dormant. In the greenhouse, you should have no problems getting it to bloom during winter as well if you keep the temperature over 50ºF.

Yay! It sounds like I am going to get my first blooms. Thanks!!

How cool to have a plant named for you and for it to be such a pretty one.

Yay! Mine did bloom. It isn't anywhere as pretty as yours but I am still pretty excited since it is my first one. If I want to have more plants I would take cuttings from above the Y right? Should I do anything to it this winter other than keeping it in the greenhouse?
