ilovejesus,
That link didn't work.
I don't understand why it won't work. No matter what I do it changes some things like it has a mind of it's own. Or it cuts things out of the link. Anyway here is the name Oxalis vulcanicola 'Zinfandel' (Volcanic sorrel) and it is found here http://www.finegardening.com
Tanks for trying ... but leaves are not the same at all !
Oops ! i find !

I don't know what it is but it is absolutely gorgeous!!! I can't wait to find out too...
Dany, if you could get another picture with the leaves as well as the flower, or better still the whole plant, it would help to ID it. That is really beautiful.
Also, is it a bush, vine, big, small? How big are the flowers?
Yes,I know....But sorry I have only one picture !
It is a flower found in Colombia (S. America ) and that seems to be a climber.
Wow...and a search for a source for plants or seeds has turned up nothing yet...........even the foliage is cool !!
Metro...sure does look like the same foliage. Very Very cool plant. I'd love to find some seeds. Finding a plant would probably be impossible here in the US.
Metro?
Opps, Tropic....I think I got mixed up between two different threads..........(hanging head)
The underneath of leaves are green !

They still might be related. I haven't seen the flowers of the one in Papua New Guinea.
Funnily enough, today I was in a local nursery and also saw a plant similar to the one in my photos, along with the purple underside of the leaf. I asked the woman who owned the nursery and she said it was a weed that kept coming in some of the pots. She said it had red flowers. I told her, weed or no weed I was going to get me some later and give it a try. It'll be interesting to see if the flowers are similar to Meriania hernandii.
Keep us posted...........wouldn't that be just too cool if it does !
