All the brugs are really enjoying this cooler weather buds everywhere
Best Time of year
Dana,
I think you have a winner with the seedling in the 4th photo. That one has a long calx that covers the corolla neck which I love. The corolla teeth are long and curved and no hint of re-curve in the skirt. A pure white Brug is hard to find — one that doesn't show hints of color. How is her tolerance to heat and pests? Fragrance?
Betty I have 4-5 pure white here Kong is just getting ready to put on a nice show and quite a few seedlings are pure white they are elegant looking. These for seedlings grew straight up 5.5 ft and made a canopy and bloomed some are now in there second flush. With each flush the others are getting more orange I hope they do like to mix it up a little heres angels proud blooming for the first time it drops it flowers in the heat this one has managed to hold on so far. Not much to look at here but in the next day or two it should do its thing. The white seedlings do good in the heat and and they have a good fragrance it waifs in the air. But right now there so many blooming its incredible the scents
Is that triple bloom from a named variety or is it a seedling?
LOL. With Brugs it takes patience because we may have to wait quite a while for a perfect bloom out of them. Herrenhauser Garten tried my patience for years. Mother Naure finally took care of her for me this year. She didn't make it through this ungodly summer.
Thanks, that looks like a real beauty! He sure knows his way around plants I wish I knew half of what he does. But I have had the most fun with these this year so many butterflies my place is covered with them eating my passion vines and Dutchman pipe vine to nothing but let them its worth it to have them around they have to eat Not a brug but i just love these
Wow, Dana, that is gorgeous! I've had the single flowered ones, but I have never seen a double.
Beautiful...
a great bunch there Dana.. Cherry Slush,, has that wonderful color now.. come on RED... you're not far off there... and Kong is lovely..such a grand big flower..
I'd love to take mine off to the land of the eternal spring/fall .. it would be so niceto have these going at it with out any of the breaks for the hot or cold..and maybe have the winds always under 10 MPH.. it would save alot of bud drop...
these sections of great weather ...sure help make it all worthwhile... it is worthwhile ... isn't it.. just a few nights of that heavy perfume would convince anyone it is.. perfect perfume tetmperatures seem to be about 80* F... this time of year it's getting so cool here.. the perfume doesn't seem broadcast quite as strongly as in the summer.. or have I just been spoiled .. here also..
LOL Gordon was cool this morning and when I walked out i have Pink Velvet leaning over my walk way and thats all I could smell cooler temps are very welcome here. But of course with them comes the wind not big on that. Getting time to be thinking about putting the plants away and do some serious fishing I am ready
