CLOSED: Help with ID

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Sorry for bad photo. This is the only one I got before it flew.

I got this on October 11th on Galveston Island. It was smaller than a Cardinal and maybe about the size of a Chickadee or a little bigger.

This one was shot at the same place and time. Some kind of flycatcher is best I can do.

looks like American Redstart from what i can see
#2 looks like Great Crested Flycatcher to me base on its little topknot, wing bars look to pronounced to me to be a Phoebe

Thanks much! When I was looking through Sibley's, I noticed that the American Redstart has the yellow on the tail like my bird. Very cool! First for me.

I agree that #2 is not a Phoebe. I've seen lots of them and this didn't look like it. Great Crested Flycatcher looks good in Sibley's for the Galveston area at this time.
