They are all beautiful. I have only been successful in getting one to bloom consistently, Ann Epple. Just not warm enough I guess. thanks for sharing.

Your lillys are just beautiful. Wish you were coming to my plant roundup Oct. 22. You could teach me how to grow them I'm sure. I was told they wouldn't grow in shade but I have one pond that gets afternoon sun. Haven't gotton brave enough to try growing lillys yet but I certainly admire them.

Bonnie, you should be able to grow gorgeous lilies. Hey, it's Florida! lol. I envy you folks for wonderful weather for ponds and flowers, but not for humidity and bugs. Guess that is the trade off for short summers and inconspicuous bugs (except mosquitos).

God didn't make any place perfect but Heaven. I don't really like the heat for so long a period of time or bugs but heck after 45 yrs. I'm getting used to it. I'm from Conn. and know what cold and snow was there. Yuk
I'm not sure my ponds are deep enough for lillies. I saw one once that had grown thru the EPDM liner it had been there for so long. My plants are all in those black plastic water basket thingies. When the roots start growing out of them I prune them off and it doesn't kill them but I have umbrella plants, water iris and water mallow. I used to have a peace lilly in there also and it did fine. I think their are some lillies that have shallow root systems for shallow ponds. Will have to find some.
I know some of the girls coming to the roundup are also ponders and they will surely have some words of wisdom for me.

They don't need to be all that deep, mine is less than 2' and all bloom and grow very nice. I would go ahead a try a lily-make sure it is a tropical-they bloom much more than the hardy. The Victoria do need a big pond however, as do the night blooming tropicals.
Me, I love the heatand humidity, I'm sorry to see the cooling off!

The Red Flare is beautiful! My Tina's look somewhere between King of Siam and Panama Pacific. They're doing very well, even in small water tubbies!
