Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Good morning all. As usual, the first thing I had to do this morning when I awakened was to orient myself as to the day of the week. That will let me know what my schedule is for the day.
I have a lot of plants that I brought home from Powell Gardens yesterday to take care of today. Lots to plant in pots, a nice large clump of white w/ yellow center hardy mums, and some peonies to divide and plant. I was warned that the peonies have been infested with Chameleon vine but since we don't seem to be able to raise that ground cover I'm not worried too much. Where I'll put it the ground cover would be welcome. Then there are some nice sage plants, both the regular culinary type and a large round leaf cultivar that has more of a menthol odor to it. I think it would be nice in a vaporizor but would hesitate to cook with it. I'll likely try it and see how it turns out tho. One can't have too much sage around. Then there are the cutting leftovers from the sedums we took cuttings from yesterday(about 5 kinds). I have trouble keeping small sedums around here so I'll just start and keep them in pots to cover the soil at the base of plants.
It's suppose to warm up somewhat today. That will really be nice since I do have so much work to do outside.
Shad is nearly thru with 6th grade so we'll have to get his 7th grade material ordered in a week or so. Children grow up so fast!! He went into the youth ministries for the first time last night and said he is going to cotinute to go. When he first was told he couldn't come to Royal Rangers anymore because he had turned 13 he decided to go into the adult classes with us on Wednesday night. A few weeks of that has convinced him that isn't very interesting to someone his age & the youth group looked more interesting every week. We have a new youth pastor and he seems to have everything under good control. Shad just will not go into situations where the kids are misbehaved. If the leader doesn't have good control and a no-tolerance attitude toward disruptions and inappropriate behaviors during the service, Shad wants nothing to do with the group. Praise the LORD! No bad language from him, no dirty remarks or jokes, etc. What a blessing that it. We can tell such a difference in the attitudes and behaviors of the grandchildren who were dedicated to the LORD not long after birth and those who weren't. GOD has certainly kept Shadoe under HIS wings all those years he wasn't with us and not in church. He told us that he knows the Bible so well because during times of unreasonable(at least in his opinion)punishment which kept him in his room for long periods of time he would read his Bible(oten instead of doing his schoolwork). He says he has read it thru at least once and some parts several times. I know he should have done the schoolwork, but since he didn't at least he was reading something good for him.
I need to go and get started on the day. GOD bless and keep all of you. Keep counting your many blessings.
