Beautiful Lavender Mountain Lily in Zone 9?

I am a gorgeous lily and is noted that I will grow in Zone 9, but since there is a wide degree of temps in this Zone, would I be happy about 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico? We have high humidity and this summer reached temps of 106 degrees.
