best daffodils for part shade

I have plantings of daffs of all kinds all over my yard, but in my part shade property, they all turn and face to the west. This does not work well when you have to look at the flower from the side. Who knew I could only plant daffs laterally in my yard. Are there any species of daffs, or any other spring bulbs that do well and naturalize in part shade conditions? Would white narcissi do better than yellow?
