Please Reccomend Source for Mature Fruiting Plants

Dayton, TX(Zone 8b)

My husband and I just bought our retirement homestead. Because of our ages (lol) we would prefer to plant more mature fruit bearing plants. Like figs, blueberry, grape, etc. Would love someone to recommend something inTexas, or at least places in the south. I have been looking at TYTY but have never bought from them. At the prices they want for mature trees, I want to make sure they are a good place to buy from.

Do not buy from TyTy. They have a very bad reputation. They are not in the Garden Watchdog because they pitched such a big fit over all the negative feedback that customers put there and Dave finally removed them.

Glad you ask before you bought.

If you can make it to Rosenberg, Caldwell Nursery has good sized fruit trees in 15 gallon pots. I've purchased from them before.

Have you tried Arbor Gate Nursery in Tomball? I have read good reviews about them.

I am so glad I asked! We were about to spend over $150 apiece for some of tyty's plants. Thanks for the heads up. And I just learned to use Garden Watchdog!! HOW AWESOME!! I need to spend more time here. lol
And thank you for the info and links Betty. I know I'm going to love going to Caldwell Nursery. What an amazing selection they have!! I've never heard of Arbor Gate, but will be checking them out as well.

Caldwells seems to have a LOT that I would like!! lol Thinking I may need to rent a U-Haul and go check it out.

That sound like fun. Let us know what you get when you go. If you are going to rent a U-Haul call them and make sure they have atleast most of what you want.
