This house came with a separate work shop with a lean-to complete with shelves, hooks, and even some really old tools. Hubby uses the workshop, and I use the lean-to.
Under the lean-to live Carolina Wrens and snakes - how they manage to live in harmony, only they know for sure!

We're getting ready to tackle this issue also. Any ideas for what works on storage would be handy to have.
I have a greenhouse; a lot of my stuff goes there over the winter. But I also store some of it in the basement on shelves.

My storage area looked much like yours when I lived in Houston. lol It was all in a lean-to behind my house. But having just moved to a new homestead in Dayton - all of my things are either out under the trees or on my deck. At least until I can get a potting shed built.
Linda, I can show you a picture of my greenhouse but right now it doesn't have much stored in it. And no one wants to see a picture of my basement - trust me.
