Mandevilla amabilis 'Alice Dupont'

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Forgive me if I posted this before. I had planned on posting some things last Friday, when my 14 year old constant companion, Barney, a Jack Russell terrier had something similar to a stroke and I had to have him put to sleep. I lost a few days trying to adjust to life without him and I can not remember if I ever posted this.

I had quickly stuffed this along with many others in the greenhouse to keep them safe from the winds and rain of Irene and forgot about her. She has about five buds today and has been blooming for over a week. I had forgotten about her until last week and when I saw her first bloom I just had to share it. This is the only pink one I have.

I have a red one which blooms year round but I have never identified it. I think it is patented but I lost the tag.

Jb, it is beautiful, and I am sorry for your loss. I know you have very fond memories of your beloved pet, Bareny. Keep posting your beautiful plants.
