A lady gave me several seed pods from her white daturas. now I need advice. Do I let them dry and open, they are green, she pulled them from the plant and said enjoy.
Seed pods
I have never known them to "ripen" once they are pulled from the plant, I would open one of them and see if the seeds are brown, one seed pod holds a lot of seeds.
I agree, I think they need to dry on the plant. Hope you can get some of them to grow? Let us know how it goes.
I let mine dry on the plant before removing.
I do too, in fact I let them reseed themselves unless someone ask for seeds.
talked to the lady today, she says that they should grow, even if they are not dried on the plant. They have been in the same area for about 10 years, and even if the pods fall when green they grow. So here goes.............
