Yesterday, much to my unhappy surprise, there was a falcon sitting on the fence beside one of my birdfeeders. I wasn't able to get a picture of him. I opened the patio doors and he flew off. Now, I know falcons are gorgeous birds, and I know they have to eat too - but I really don't want to watch them eat the birds I welcome into my back yard. What should I do now ?
Falcon
Hi Countrymom, The only thing you can do is make sure there is cover near your feeders (like bushes or brush piles) that the birds can dive into when hawks are around. Good Luck!
Thanks ! Are falcons and hawks the same thing ? You were right - I think I meant a hawk.
Their different but the falcon can still hunt small birds.
