Hello!
The heat took a toll on my MWs and afraid I will not have enough to feed the cats.
I am looking for reliable sources of MW and am willing to go to great lengths! :)
Your thoughts/ideas/leads are appreciated!

Need Help in Piedmont NC rearing Monarchs - looking for MWs!
Hopefully someone in your area will respond, but if they don't is there a rural area near you? I don't know about NC but in Ohio it grows along most of the roads. How many are you raising btw?
A friend is releasing 15-20 a day and we are looking for backup source as both of our MWs are dwindling. I've just started getting cats and also need backup source. I'm not sure I would feed roadside MW over concerns about toxicity in the soils and possible spraying.
I don't know of many local sources - not en masse, and I can't be driving around the countryside looking! ;)
Maybe a post on Craigslist.... Hmmm.....

Where are you getting the cats from???
Collecting them from the MW in her garden - we both participate with a Monarch Waystation and tag monarchs for the Monarch Watch program out of the University of Kansas.
I looked up some of the large waystations in your area and came up w/ two. Maybe you could contact them for help.

Thanks - I used to volunteer at price park.
Not familiar with the other one, but I will look into it. I appreciate your thoughts. :)
