Hi there Palmbob:

Thanks for posting this photo of this plant. I had taken a photo of a plant looking just like this while down at the San Diego Zoo last July 2010. I'm always looking on this site for flowers & plants that I've photographed so that I can properly identify them in the image's metadata area. Just thought I'd share my photo with you that I took last July 2010. When I took this photo, I had zoomed in on just this single bloom causing the background to blur just a bit. Hope you like it.

Hello again PalmBob:

I read that you're an "Uber" here, related to all of your image and information contributions. Where would I be able to find more of your images that you've posted to see if they look like any flowers that I may have taken photographs of? Most of the flower or plant shots that I do are when I'm on a field trip with my various camera clubs. I've got quite a bit of flower shots still to identify, so I bought a "Garden Plants & Flowers Through The Year" from Barnes & Noble several months ago. It's come in handy with a few flowers that I've got pics of. I've taken quite a few flower shots when I've gone to Disneyland, they have some of the most prettiest flowers, not to mention the many botanical gardens in my area too. The picture that I posted above, was found around some other types of cactus plants.

Best way to have your flowers identified is to put them on the plant identification forum on this site and 95% of them will be immediately identified by the thousands of members on the website... you might have to join to post photos on the website, but it's not much and definitely worth it if you want to know what you have (particularly if you have a lot of photos)

Thanks for the info. I'll check out that part of this site. I did see some of your other photos of this similar plant and other aloe plants. Nice collection of photos.
