Kentucky Flat Millipede (Apheloria virginiensis)

that is an intertesting creature, but I don't think it is a Kentucky Flat Millipede, in fact I don't think it is a millipede at all. There is no sign of the multiple legs of a millipede (two each side to each segment) in your picture. I suspect it is a larva of some sort of insect, but I have no idea what.

Could you post the image to our Insect and Spider Identification Discussion Forum: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/bugid/all/ and see if someone can give it a true identity.

I agree that is a huge neat creature you have there, im not completely sure, but it looks like it might be a Black Belly Salamander Larvae :Desmognathus quadramaculatus.
