We are fortunate enough to have a nursery that has great perennials and tropical plants. Here's a pink NOID brug that I got yesterday.

They also had variegated brugs Sunset and Snowbank on sale for only $29.99 in 10 gallon pots. Lucky me, LOL. Both plants have already made their Y so hopefully I'll see some blooms before I take them in for winter.

Here's my brug that's been planted in the yard for several years, but didn't put on much growth till this year. It's done it's vegetative growth, and has now made it's Y, and I can now see tiny buds forming above the Y. I'm so excited to see it bloom. Let's hope that it does so before 1st frost here. I want to make cuttings and try to propagate it so that I can have a few more plants to put in the garden.
This little munchkin didn't even show itself last year, then to my surprise there it was. Considering the really cold winter that we had for 2010-2011, and the 8in of snow that we had in January, I'm surprised that it survived to make showing this year. I've been trying to baby it along in its vegetative growth, but something keeps eating it's bottom leaves.
Here's Brugmansia Alba, with buds forming, but no blooms yet. I'll be sure to post some pictures when it does bloom.
Finally, this is a yellow NOID also purchased yesterday, and it too has buds. Come on blooms!!!!!
The nursery that these plants were obtained from also gave me their fertilizer recipe that they use at the nursery.. The first is to feed with 15-0-15 with magnesium nitrate 3 out of 4 feeds, then 20-10-20 with Epsom Salt for the 4th feed, and to occasionally give the plants a good dose of water to flush build ups out of the soil.
Previously, I used Miracle Grow, occasionally adding Epsom Salt. I've also seen somewhere to fertilize the plants with Milorganite every 6 weeks with Miracle Grow being given twice weekly. Does anyone have success with the last recipe? Annette

Another collector there like potato chips good prices on those variegated I had snow bank it was a very small plant lost it over winter too much water GSG you bought some yours bite it too?
I killed it either too much water or when my hoop-house disaster earlier.
Annette I use chicken manure or cow compost dig the hole little deeper then more soil and then the plant these plants are bottomless pits. Then I use molasses 2 tablespoons per gallon of water 1 tablespoon epson salt to that make sure it dissolves and spray the plants in early am or late evenings once a week. These babies will get going for sure
Hi gaseedgrower, glad to see you so close by, I'm off of McGinnis Rd. I got the plants from Randy's Perennial Nursery in Lawrenceville. He has a ton of brugs, some named, others with tags lost. Many in 10 gallon pots, as well as the smaller pots that I posted above. He also had rooted plumeria cuttings, red, yellow and white, but not named, and I got 2 of the red. I'm addicted to the plumies too, LOL
