About 2-3 yrs ago I planted 2 of these (pom pom type flower) in my side yard where they get dappled sunlight in late afternoon. They are suppose to do well in shade, right? They have never bloomed. Any advice?

Time. Give them time, and, of course, 'shade' is relative. Mine get dappled sun. Deep shade is going to compromise their bloom.
