Solar String Lights

Fulshear, TX(Zone 9b)

In the past, I've used string lights around my plants to keep them warm during a freeze (I know that is difficult to imagine in this heat!). Has anyone tried SOLAR string lights for this. I just don't know if they get as warm as the electric ones.

Do you know what type of bulbs they use? If LED bulbs, they put out no heat.
I would guess you won't get the warmth you need at all with solar lights.

Agreed. No heat from solar led lights.

Any new ideas for 3-4 foot tall trees? I'm on a small acreage and have planted Royal Poincianas & Jacarandas that are just too far from an electric source. The Jacarandas that I put out last year came back this year but are nowhere near as tall as they were.
