I am growing a patch of musquee de provence (fairytale) pumpkins. Yesterday as I was trying to adjust one, it snapped off the vine. It's pretty heavy (20-25 lbs) but still mostly green with only a little orange coming on. I want to use this pumpkin for cooking. Is it a goner? I know the color will probably change if I leave it in the sun for a few days, but will it get any sweeter or is it doomed to taste unripe?
Will green pumpkin ripen off the vine?
