CLOSED: Persicaria for trade

Pittsburgh, PA

As I clean up my weedy garden, I am finding many volunteer persicaria.

It is a beautiful foliage plant that does have a little flower in the fall, almost like a plume.

I have Persicaria red dragon,(not a lot) and many lance corporal and painters palette.

I am looking for bulbs of crocosmia "lucifer" or any crocosmia that is zone 5 hardy.

What is the beautiful shiny variegated plant to the left and at the base of your persacaria?

That plant is solomon's seal, it looks good all year in a shady location.

Would you be willing to share some Solomon's Seal and Persicaria?

Pittsburgh, PA

The next two days we are having 90 degrees plus. Next week it is supposed to be in the 70's. I then, will be able to check out the solomon seal to see how much of a root system I have. I have lots of persicaria.

I will D-mail you next week.

Thank you.

Any Persicaria polymorpha?

Pittsburgh, PA

No Polymorpha. The ones I have, such as the red dragon have the same white flowers as the polymorpha. The painters palette and lance corporal have very thin flower "sheaths" pink/burgundy at the tip of the plant stem. They are nicer than the polymorpha flower.

I have no picture, but I will post one when they bloom.

Thanks. I have P. 'Red Dragon' but might use more. I am not familiar with the others but can go look them up. I have Crocosmia bulbs right now but unfortunately I do not know what type or colors or anything about them.
