I do not smell the stench, but the flies clearly do!

I doubt that this is Stapelia gigantea, but have no idea what it might be. Any ideas?

Looks more like S gettliffei. What a fabulous flower!

If it is mis matched, accept my apology and move it to the appropriate spot, please. I bought this plant labeled as I posted it, and I am new to it, so I meant no harm, Christie

Yes, welcome to the world of mis-labeled plants!

So, what are we doing now, Kniphofia? Asking the Administrator to move the photos?

Yes Jordi I've reported it and the pic should now be moved to the correct place.

Christie there aren't many pics in the Plant Files entry for this stapelia so if you get another flower make sure to take more pics!

Oh, BTW, I think I added 3 pictures of my flower to the same plant. How do I move those too? Sorry to be such a pain in the neck! Christie

Hopefully admin will spot them and move them across too. If you go to the Plant Files entry for any plant there is a red button near the top of the page with Report An Error on it, you can click on that which will open a window to send a message to admin to remove the mis-identified plant.

Looking forward to seeing your new flowers!

Done, Sue, thanks!
