What kind of bulb flower is this?

Victorville, CA(Zone 8b)

Can someone help me identify this? Obviously the flowers are a light pink, sweet smelling, nothing like a lily or any other flower i've ever smelt. It has 9 flowers total coming out of the same part (sorry I dont know specific plant parts.) not like separate flowers.. kinda like an amaryllis. My dad planted it in his front planter and in the 3/4 years its been there it has never flowered. I'll add a picture of the entire thing too. Thanks for any help you can give me :)

It is!! Thank you so much Bleek!

Looks like an Amaryllis belladonna. Does it leaf out in the fall or in the spring?

Wow, it looks like that one too!! It does in the spring. After googling it I think it is in fact the amaryllis belladonna. I read on wikipedia's site that the lycoris squamigera is often mistaken for the "naked lady". Pretty neat!

I love the A. belladonnas - they require no care, spreads like crazy so there is always plenty to give away, and have a wonderful slight fragrance. They grow with or without summer water, in sun or in shade. This is a patch under my cherry tree.

Very pretty!! I bet it looks great under your cherry tree!! I hope my dads spread all over his little bed! The flower bed its in is empty. That's the only thing in it and it sticks out like a sore thumb haha! We live in the desert and it has absolutely no shade. So it's clearly a tough little thing! haha! Thanks for id'ing it for me :)

You're welcome. They are hardy - you see them a lot in abandoned lots. And since they can survive without summer water, that was probably the reason it's the only thing that was left in your dad's flower bed.

Bleek is right. It is also called resurrection lily, naked ladies, and surprise lilies. Luciee {;^)

I have some of the red ones called spider lillies. Also a lycoris, and sometimes referred to as a naked lady, too. It's named that because there are no leaves when it blooms.
