Well I was given this last year for my birthday. D's SO did a lot of digging to see what was on my wish list and found where he could order it. Only problem is....it's NOT what was ordered...they sent the wrong plant ( Thank You company I'm about to email ) It gave me fits most of last summer, acting like it was not going to make it, then rebounding, only to wimper again. I've had my suspicions for awhile that it was not the plant he ordered, foliage was all wrong, but figured I wouldn't have much of a case ( if I even do now I doubt they will make it right) but I figured I'd wait till it bloomed to be absolutely sure.
It's not bad, but it sure ain't what I was after.......
Passion Flower Sunburst..
I think it's beautiful Mj, but in toal agreement about being frustrated, not only with the plant's health issues, but wrong passion to start with. That happened to
me last year, and from seed no less. I knew when leaves showed up it was not what I ordered. And the bad thing is, when it's a plant like a passion that
could bloom the first year, or never...and you paid for it....it's a must that they get it right. They got paid, now give what was paid for!
Very nice I really like the flower don't like Divia's though not enough time to nurse maid them lol
Well it seems to be doing better now, not a massive grower. I emailed the company and they said they would send a replacement. We'll see. At some point I'll post on the Garden Watchdog...good or bad...
Wooo! Ok girl .. on your mark, get set, root a cutting for me!!!!!
LOL I'll try, the one attempt I've made failed miserably. I did manage to layer a piece in the pot when I thought it was going to die on me. But you better not cuss at me later if it gives you fits.
Nah .. never cuss at you .. There must be something in the air this year .. I've been having problems rooting a few things this year as well along with others I know.
Next week after Irene is only a bad memory I'll get back to you about another trade. I've started some cuttings of the mystery x allardii and also the rubra if you're interested. The aurantia is amazing like Lady Margaret .. just show it dirt and it sends out roots!
Well that's a good thing ( That you wouldn't cuss at me LOL) I'm thinkin the rubra. We'll see what everything looks like after Irene passes. Having typical "Pre Hurricane" weather here. Lots of squalls, wind, rain, it quits, everthing gets quite, then starts up again. I'm used to it. Been here since "78" and had my share, both on land and boat. I'd rather ride them out on land, boat scared the p$%^ out of me !
